Being a member of the Academy means sharing the institution's founding principles and aims, none other than supporting and promoting Catalan film. It's a two-way dynamic, in which members actively collaborate to ensure that the industry works well, while at the same time gaining support from other members and governing bodies of the Academy to uphold, expand and promote film heritage.
Belonging to the Academy enables members to vote in the Gaudí Awards and also take part in assemblies to decide upon strategies that will strengthen the organization. Members can also take full advantage of facilities and exclusive discounts, as well as receiving firsthand and up-to-date information, and other benefits.
Members are sent weekly newsletters by the Academy with featured news stories, ongoing mailings looking at relevant aspects of the industry and invitations from other academies to pre-releases and film premieres.
Members get a 50% discount on the price of cinema tickets in over 50 cinemas across Catalonia, due to an agreement that the Academy has with the Catalonian Film Entrepreneurs' Guild. They also get a discount on the annual Filmoteca membership (€45 for Academics).
Thanks to an agreement between Cinemes Texas and the ACC, all members have a special price during weekdays, from Monday to Thursday, of 2€ per ticket showing the membership card.
The members have also an access to the VeoGaudí platform so they can view all candidate films for the Gaudí Awards.
La Seca offers a 25% discount to all members for their spectacles in regular programmation showing the membership card in the box office.
All members can request direct support from the institution for the dissemination of projects and premieres, while the Nunes Room and Board Room are at their full disposal for any related activity.
